Welcome to all my blogging Friends both old and new,
No Flowers this week its Butterflies.
I love this stamp its so useful, you can cut out the individual Butterfies to add as small embelishments to your cards or use this String of butterflies to make toppers.
Here is a simple card, I stamped two strings of butterflies with the Butterfly Border Stamp (Honey Doo), painted them with different colours of Mica. I die cut with the matching die and placed on to white card. This I matted on to Gold Mirri.
I made a background stamping all over with the small image from Birthday Sentiments, such a useful little stamp. If you try this make sure you change the orientation of the stamp, its a simple but effective technique which can be used with lots of small (or large) stamps. I tend to use lighter inks so as not to detract from the main image. You can also mix and match several small stamps with different colours.
I arranged the toppers and added a sentiment.
I hope you like it.
Have a good week

Flowers for Design
Hello fellow Bloggers, I hope you are all keeping well.
It feels a bit like spring here, its getting a little warmer and the snowdrops are in full bloom in the garden.......I love spring!
Well this week I have chosen this card to share with you all. When I started I didn't know where I was going.
I made the base by matting and layering an embossed piece of white card on to green. I made some background paper with a small stamp found on Honey Doo Birthday Sentiments set, then shaded with distress ink. This I cut into inch squares, matted on to the same green card and arranged down the side.
Now What!
Oh yes I have'nt used the Flowers for Design die yet so lets go for that one, I stamped and painted with Tangerine Fizz Mica, Die cut the image and shaped into the flower. I then stamped and die cut several of the leaves from Spring Flowers, these I painted with Mica Powder woodland fern and stamped and die cut flourishes from Veined Flowers. These were arranged around the flower for design. A sentiment was added and this was the result.
I hope to see you all next week,
Take Care

Foliage Flourish
Happy Valentines day,
Here is a card I made with Valentines Day in mind. I used the Foliage Flourish stamp and die by Honey Doo Stamps.
I started by cuting out appertures in my base card. I stamped and heat embossed the foliage flourish then die cut and trimmed into heart shapes. These I carefully placed over the apperture. I added a ribbon and sentiment to complete my topper.
I placed this over a red base using pin flair glue to give added dimension. (See the shadows for interest) and then I edged with strips of the red card die cut with a Sue Wilson configurations die Trellis Edger.

Little Lilies
Hi Fellow Bloggers,
I hope you are all keeping well,
Here is a simple card using spellbinders botanical bliss die. I made two panels which I matted on to purple. I then stamped and die cut the Little Lillies flowers from Honey Doo Stamps. I painted with mica, shaped and aded to the card. Two leaves stamped and cut from the same stamp completes the card. a sentiment could be added but I decided to put that on the inside of the card.
A very simple but effective card.
Take Care my friends
Janet
