Xmas Wall Hanging

Hi Bloggers,
Well another week nearer christmas.
It is certainly all systems go with the Christmas Adverts on TV, "I'm a celebrity Get me out of here" heralds the beginning of the season, the shops are full of goodies and the weather has certainly given us plenty to think about. Not long now!
Last week I showed you what delegates at the Oyster Papercrafts /Sincerely yours retreat made on Saturday. Well this is the Sunday project by my group. A christmas wall hanging.

I kept this very simple by using three white squares (6", 5" and 4")these were strung together to make the base of the wall hanging.
We made grey frames using the We R Memory Keepers Frame board. Each was 1/4" less than the white corresponding square and varied in width (1/4", 1/2" and 3/4"width).

The top square (the smallest) was made  by stamping crafty individuals Santas Sleigh on to patterned paper with versafine ink. We then embossed with clear powder to sharpen the image. Glitter could be added to the stars.

The centre square used a co-ordinating paper. We stamped the Deep Red Vintage Merry Christmas on to a white oval, coloured it and attached to the centre square with foam pads.

The final (largest) square, again used a co-ordinating paper. We stamped the C.C.Designs Making a list stamp on to white card. We coloured the image and fussy cut the image. This was then placed on to the square with Foam pads.
On the day this was all we had time for  but the frames could easily be decorated with either snowflakes, xmas flowers and foliage or left plain. Santa's boots could be covered with glossy accents and santa's fur decorated with glitter.

I hope you enjoyed this blog.
Take Care.
Janet
