Good evening fellow bloggers. Here goes for my first blog!
Thanks to my very patient daughter, who has coached this technophobe, I am able to share with you some of my creations. I do hope you will enjoy please feel free to leave any comments etc.
For this post I have chosen a card which I made for an open day at oyster papercrafts www.oysterstamps.co.uk and then a small change made a sample card for Honey Doo Crafts. www.honeydoocrafts.co.uk
Very simple but I think effective. I started by making a background paper by stamping with Honey Doo swirl background and heat embossing with Silver embossing powder. I then used distress inks to colour the background. I used a spellbinder Diamond die to cut the shapes out , which I matted and layered on to silver mirri. I find that the perfect ruler available at oyster paper crafts is great for this.
I then made the Large diamond. For the first I stamped Honey Doos Daisy Delight on to a pre stamped background paper. I distressed the edges through the die, matted and layered on to silver mirri card the second I used using Outline and Bold numbers by Honey Doo to stamp the "50th" and "Birthday" from their life events stamp. I then put the card together and hey ho the results!
Now for the good news. Amanda from Honey Doo Crafts is appearing on Create and Craft Friday 29th May at 11 am. There will be some new exclusive (for 30 days) stamps and some that are already available. I am sure that you will enjoy the show.
Take care for now.
