Bee Flourish

Hi bloggers both old and new.
I love this stamp, The Bees from honeyDoo. I found in my stash an old stencil which reminded me of Honeycomb so I started with this using distress inks. I then used the Bee flourish, which is one of my favourites, to stamp the flourish, the bees and the flowers. All these are included in the set.The bees stamp so nicely!
Simply mount this on to a background mat and there we are!

Take care till next week.

A Little Bit of Spring!, Veined Flowers

Hi
Welcome to any new bloggers out there, I do hope you enjoy looking at my creations.
Well its spring and although the Daffodils have gone I thought I would show you this card to bring a little brightness into your world.
Sometimes you just have to go with the flow. This is my attempt at changing the veined floweres into Daffodil's by adding a cup in the centre. The flowers themselves were stamped onto white paper and then embossed with the gold sparkle embossing powder by Honeydoo. I placed these on the top of a die cut piee of card which I edged with yellow card cut from an old border die from spellbinders. Lovely spring colours for a dreary day!

The sentiment one of my favourite from honey doo stamps
Take care

Let's Party

Hello all you bloggers, new and not so new. Welcome to my weekly ditty.............

I promised something a little different for me this week. Well I have been playing with the We R Memory Keepers DIY Party board available from Oyster Papercrafts.

A very simple device for making 12 different party items officially, including hats, treat bags, cup cake holders,  blowers etc. I have also made a cup and saucer and cake stand which are not in the handbook. The cake stand was inspired by the We R memory keepers blog.
I saved various containers including yoghurt cartons and drinks container.
Here's what I came up with.

I found that working with plain paper and decorating while it was still flat was the way to go. I used pom poms, die cuts, gems, flowers and rosettes from my crafty stash to decorate some of the sets.

I used My Favourite Things, Just Delightful Stamps Prehistoric fun to decorate a cup holder, party horn, hat and treat bag. I stamped and embossed the image and coloured with alcohol pens.

I found inspiration from last months Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine (issue 168 April) for the Rabbit, of course you could also make other animals or  Father Christmas in a similar way.

I stamped and embossed a pattern on the black card, of course you could use any of your small background stamps to repeat stamp a background.

The cake stand and cup were made from a the cup holders which I added a die cut circle to I then die cut a circle out of gold mirri card and a small strip was used to run around the top of the cup, the handle was just a strip of card fixed to the side.
I do hope you like them, back to normal next week.
Have a splendid week hope the weather is kind to us all.
Take care
Janet

Roses are Red

Hi Bloggers,
What day is it?  oh Thursday......wow the days are passing by so quickly, Tuesday came and went and only this morning I realised I hadn't done a blog this week.
Well here is a card I made some time ago, very similar to a previous card using the Roses are Red card from HoneyDoos. Last time I decoupaged the rose and cut out each layer by hand, now we have the Die (thanks Amanda) which makes the whole process easier and quicker. I coloured the stamp this time with Poly Chromos pencils, and used the die to cut it out which gives a narrow border around the stamp. My favourite background Die, diamond Lattice by Memory box gives a very delicate look to the card and a sentiment using one of the Sue Wilson dies completes the look.

I am working on something different for next week so back to the grind stone for me, I hope you have a good week. Take Care
Janet
